With her Ph.D. in computer vision from Arizona State University in hand, Qian Xu went to work for Google. That’s what brought her to Silicon Valley — but applying her expertise to real estate is what made it her home.

Qian’s data analysis skills and product management experience enable her to go beyond the data to the fundamental logics and basics of her clients’ goals. “My analytics-driven approach helps clients better understand the current market trends and property values to choose the optimal strategy,” she says. Qian’s data expertise enables her to model market trends and empower her clients with accurate information.

Real estate is more than a profession to Qian. Putting her doctorate to work, she says she enjoys putting her philosophy and principles into life while she has more influence and ability to help society. She also enjoys the architectural and design aspects of homes, including gardening. “Planting is my favorite thing,” she says. “The book ‘Secret Gardens of the Cotswolds’ is my bible now.”

Giving back, Qian supports and volunteers with the Hope Education Foundation, a professional organization of American and Chinese entrepreneurs for cultural exchange. In her leisure time, she likes reading, planting, diving, and world traveling. Wherever she goes, she loves to explore museums and learn the region’s history.
