Lake County emerged as a resort destination in the late 1800s, developing a strong tourism industry centered on its natural resources, including hot springs and lakes. Bordering Morgan Valley Road, the Fish Eagle Ranch had been approved for a Major Use Permit to allow for the development of facilities associated with a short-term cabin rental campground.
